CHARACTERS
The 16 characters of Dynasty Warriors range from the officers of Wei, Wu, Shu, and the miscellaneous array of non-kingdom warriors. All such warriors are listed below.
Other Kingdoms/Misc.

This eclectic mishmash of mighty warriors scoff in the face of the major kingdoms. Three Kingdoms era Diao Chan and Lu Bu are joined by 16th century war-monger Nobunaga Oda and random samurai Toukichi.
Below is a listing of their move sets.
KEY:
Face Buttons:
Square = S (slash horizontal attack)
Triangle = T (thrust vertical attack)
"X" Button = X (block against slash horizontal attacks)
Circle = O (block against thrust vertical attacks)
Directional Pad:
F = forward (to opponent)
B = back (away from foe)
D = down
U = up
DB = diagonally down and back
DF = diagonally down and foward
UB = diagonally up and back
UF = diagonally up and foward
HCB (half circle back) = F,DF,D,DB,B
HCF (half circle forward) = B,DB,D,DF,F
(hold) next to a movement means holding this direction until some other direction is given.
(WS) means while standing up. To do this, start by crouching (D) then release D and press the button as the character is beginning to stand up.
Basic Moves:
X+O = side step
S+T = throw
U or FU + S or T = jumping overhead slash
Rage & Desparation Moves:
When rage bar is orange and full, the character can perform the Rage move. Desparation move can be used when low health bar is flashing red.
1) D,F + (S+X)
2) D,F + (T+O)

Shu Kingdom

Founded on virtue and trust, the Kingdom of Shu is lead by compassionate Liu Bei. Featured in Dynasty Warriors are three of his top warriors and a genius strategist.

Wei Kingdom

Wei Kingdom, one of the largest and most formidable of the Warring States period, was driven by the ambition of one man, Cao Cao, the Hero of Chaos. Whether it be affluent relatives or loyal commoner bodyguards, all types were united under the Wei banner.

Wu Kingdom

Relatively young and full of fire, the Wu Kingdom was built on the irrepressible Sun family. Gathered in Dynasty Warriors roster is a pyromaniac prodigy, a warrior princess, an unstoppable fighter, and a cunning strategist.
