History
The Han Dynasty was a period of dynastic rule in China that lasted over 400 years. Nearly all of the events occuring in the Dynasty Warriors series take place during this time. The Chinese classic novel The Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong is based upon the events during and after the fall of the Han Dynasty. The house of Liu was the ruling house of the Han Dynasty, of which Liu Bei was descended and recognized as the imperial uncle to Emperor Xian at the time.
