Unlike Dynasty Warriors that requires the player to equip stat-enhancing items, Samurai Warriors 2 offers a complete set of skills to develop through battle experience. Skills can be purchased at the Shop or learned on the battlefield by defeating certain officers. There are four categories of skill.

The Skills make a return from Samurai Warriors 2, with most of them remaining the same.

  • Vitality 1- 400G - Length of Life gauge increases
  • Focus 1 - 400G - Length of musou gauge inscreases
  • Potence 1 - 400G - Attack strength increases
  • Fortitude 1 - 400G - Defense strength increases.
  • Cavalier 1 - 400G - Abilities when mounted increase
  • Impulse 1 - 400G - Speed strength increases.
  • Grace 1 - 400G - Dexterity Increases
  • Karma 1 - 400G - Luck Increases
  • Equestrian 1 - 400G - Mounts' abilities increase
  • Master 1 - 400G - Increases all stats
