Background

Wang Zhi ( ??? - 200 AD ) Governor of Xing Yang and ally of Cao Cao. He sent Hu Ban and a thousand men to a relay station where Guan Yu was staying for the night, and to burn the station. Hu Ban told Guan Yu about the plan, and opened the gate for Guan Yu to escape. Wang Zhi followed Guan Yu, but was cut in half by the general.
